This web site is provided as an introduction and guide for candidates interested in pursuing an anesthesia technology education through the Kaiser Permanente Anesthesia Technology Program (KPAT) and Pasadena City College at the Kaiser School of Anesthesia. This site is intended to answer many of your questions regarding prerequisites, candidate selection and curriculum requirements. KPAT is a Kaiser Permanente Community Benefit program which has partnered with Pasadena City College which provides the student with necessary skills and education to be an essential member of the anestheia patient care team.Learn more ->
The role of a certified Anesthesia Tech.
- Assisting with the application of various types of anesthesia equipment.
- Sterilizing and cleaning of anesthesia equipment.
- Troubleshooting, maintenance and recording of inspection for equipment.
- Assembling and calibrating medical devices for use.
There are approximately 20,000 Anesthesia Technologists in the U.S. The program is designed for entry into Healthcare professions. The program also builds on the experience and education for the entry level Healthcare professional and allows students to utilize an existing Associate of Science (AS) degree.Learn more ->
